RENOVATION PROJECT
This month on the Rustic House blog we'd like to share this case study of one of our most ambitious projects so far. We worked with our customer right from the beginning of their renovation project to help them create their vision of a modern barn conversion with a rustic feel.
Featured in the latest edition of Cornwall Living magazine is one of our favourite creative projects we've ever been involved with. Inspired by the products on display in our showroom, one of our customers challenged us to source a huge variety of bespoke pieces to complete the renovation of their 8 bedroom barn conversion.
Being involved with the interior design from the very beginning of the project was key to understanding exactly what our customer wanted to achieve. We were able to feed in our ideas and provide inspiration from our knowledge of our suppliers' products, as well as the raw materials available, and the options for different finishes styles and combinations. We found so many creative solutions by working together, it was so exciting to see the renovation take shape and those ideas come to life.
Their vision was to incorporate as many natural materials as possible into the renovation in order to give this barn conversion a unique rustic charm. We collaborated with them and with our suppliers to source bespoke pieces to meet our customer's precise specification. We were able to supply hand-made reclaimed teak internal doors, skirting & architrave; a one-of-a-kind reclaimed pine staircase; as well as a teak root dining table large enough to seat 16! In addition to these main features, we were also thrilled to be able to supply many of the finishing touches including furniture, lighting and decorative items.
If you've got a project that you'd like to talk to us about then get in touch through the 'contact us' link at the bottom of the page, or call us on 01726 817567.
